The main problem I have with shows like this and others is they always come up with a situation in which there has to be a talk about race issues, as if this is something black folks encounter all the time. In other words, they make it seem as if one black person's encounter is every black persons' experience. I grew up in the 70s and 80s and not once can I point to a classmate, school staff, police officer, etc. as having said or done anything to me that can be viewed as racially motivated. Shows like this act as if these situations are more common than they really are and help to stir up the fires of racism when the fires are dying out. The "talk" we really need to have with our children is how to display good manners and respect and how to grow up to be responsible adults. I know there are white folks who don't like black folks and I can live with that. However, the door swings both ways and black folks need to realize they can display racial hatred as well. I get so sick and tired with sensitive black folks who see racism under every rock and in every nook and cranny.
I had a problem with my computer. When it finally got fixed, I discovered I had inadvertently bought the Miami Dolphins. I brought them home and placed them in my garage which they weren't too happy about. However, they weren't going anywhere because I painted a goal line in front of the door and those rascals would not cross it.
If anyone is looking for me to state that I'm a conservative or a liberal, I'd hate to disappoint you, but I don't identify with politics. I am a Christian and care only about the truth.
